IS YOUR MONEY FUNDING PIPELINES THAT THREATEN OUR FUTURE GENERATIONS?
#NOKXL #STOPLINE3 #NOTRANSMOUNTAIN #NOENERGYEast
Across Turtle Island, Tribes and First Nations are fighting tar sands pipelines that threaten our waters and our future generations.
Right now, Energy Transfer Partners, is building out a new pipeline - the Bayou Bridge in Louisiana, which would carry DAPL oil to the coast for export.
In the north, we are fighting 4 new pipeline projects proposed to carry toxic tar sands across Indigenous territories without consent. Together, they would add over 3 million barrels per day (bpd):
Line 3 “Replacement” (Enbridge) – from 390,000 to 915,000 bpd
Trans Mountain Expansion (Kinder Morgan) – from 300,000 to 890,000 bpd
Keystone XL (TransCanada) – up to 830,000 bpd
- Energy East (TransCanada) – 1,100,000 bpd
These new projects are all made possible by the same handful of banks.
We call on these banks to withdraw their investments.
We call on individuals, businesses, organizations, and governments to withdraw their money from these banks until they meet our demands.
Here are the 17 primary targets - banks that provide funding to Dakota Access AND ALL 4 proposed new tar sands pipelines, or are the leaders of big multi-bank loans. Move your money away from these banks and disrupt their "business as usual" until they cancel their investments! See below for the full list of 71 banks that fund at least one of these pipelines.
